Hope all is well with you. I would like to thank you for the very helpful review. It’s been about a week now I have been researching Wealthy Affiliate. Should I, shouldn’t I, should I shouldn’t I. I believe I read your review about 4x. I’m excited to say I”M GOING IN!! I have no clue what my niche, skills, etc is but I know my goal is to help people and make some money doing it. I’m ready to put in the work and see results… (hopefully)
If you decide to upgrade, you’ll be able to move your freebie domain to a full .com domain name. That domain name will cost $14/year, which is standard pricing for domains. All the content will be moved over to that domain. Hosting is included for free in your WA membership. If you decide to leave WA, you can move all your stuff to a new host whenever you want.
I’m retired after 33 years as a civil servant with the FDA, handicapped (in a wheelchair). I love my pc, tablets, and surfing the www. I live in central Arkansas and I purchase lots from Amazon and love it. I once had a city website (no longer do) for our city and used Amazon’s affiliate program; however my understanding is that Amazon no longer allows affiliates in Arkansas. Is that still true? I love art (painting, both digital and traditional), reading, photography and surfing the web. I spent my last 10-15 years with the FDA working in the IT arena with it training, helpdesk and website creating and support.
I found Wealthy Affliate based on reviews by Affliate marketers on YouTube. ( not to mention they get paid a small fee for very one they sign up under them) Many had great things to say found very few bad things on this company. I wanted to earn extra cash at home. So I signed up. Only to realise it is A LOT of work you will need to do especially if your a beginner. I won’t recommend anyone with basic English/grammar skills even the tool they help supports isn’t Adequate enough. In order to see real results it will take months if not years before you see a real income. It’s subscription so even if your not putting in the work you will still need to pay up. Not to mention if you do decide to leave you will LOSE your domain name. It’s an requirement, they do offer a free one but recommend/ urge you to purchase one from them. I would suggest you really think about putting your money anywhere that sounds to good to be true. Nothing comes easy or free but most are Pyramid systems that can really have you believing your going to be a millionaire.
The biggest issue I’ve had with previous training programs and marketing communities is how outdated they get. With a Wealthy Affiliate Premium membership, you don’t need to worry about that. New trainings are added daily including live weekly video training sessions. You can also search and browse past trainings they’ve created over the years. With a premium membership, you also get unlimited access to community features which is one of my favorite aspects of Wealthy Affiliate. I spend hours per day simply chatting and messaging people who clicked on my Wealthy Affiliate affiliate link. When they use my link to sign up, I get notified, and the personal one-on-one coaching can begin. No other platform has offered this option before.
Hi Scott I found your website and basically loved what I seen. I’m just having a few issues, when I try to sign up it says it already have an account (which I do not this is my very first time). But I still took the step as if I previously signed up before and then it said I don’t even have and account with you guys, which is what I figured, so I’m a little lost and its not letting me sign up at all. 🙁 Please Help Wealthy Affiliate Review - Its Too Saturated! Why Local Lead Generation is Better
Affiliate marketing is a really great way to monetize your blog–essentially, you are promoting the products you love and you get paid to do it. Say I’m writing a blog post about a new kitchen scale that I’ve really been enjoying (because hello, kitchen scales are the best) and I want to promote it to my readers. I could write a regular ol’ blog post about it, share a regular ol’ link to the scale on Amazon, and leave it at that.
Contact the company directly. If you use a product or service and want to recommend it but you can’t find evidence of an affiliate program, consider approaching them and asking if they are willing to set one up (maybe with your help). Highlight your audience and the value of your recommendation. Explain that an affiliate program is simply rewarding happy customers (you!) for promoting, and they don’t have to pay until a sale is made.
Btw. What I meant by WA is forcing us to be pay members or cancel everything is you can’t be a starter member forever if you want to grow your business as sub domain is not the way and you don’t have the freedom to upgrade within your starter account without upgrading to premium, then you can’t go back even if you can’t afford it while if you cancel, you lose everything!
Thanks for all the information I am slowly working my way through your list of do’s and donts! ! I’ve been approached by a website that wants to develop editorial content for my blog featuring home improvement tips from their”national client” and pay me $40 a year for reviewing and publishing their content. Boy, I am just not sure how this all works? Any words for when we are approached by others to write for our blogs?
Once you become a premium member you’ll be able to contact many experienced online marketers who have been making a living from this for many years. (Many of them are making 6 figures a year or more) If you are looking to make $1,000 per month within your first 3-6 months I would recommend that you devote at least 5-6 hours a day to this if you possibly can.
Although there is no exact answer to this question I can tell you this: The amount of money you can earn is directly related to what you do and how you do it. The folks who are highly successful have one thing in common – they followed the training to the dot and they took massive action. Learning how to do something is great but you need to apply this knowledge in order to actually start earning.
And finally, I find that it is almost too easy to communicate with people! I love helping people and meeting new people in the industry, but as a successful affiliate marketer, I do get bombarded with so many questions from people I don’t even know. For that reason, I try to keep my responses prioritised by always responding to those who I referred through my affiliate link. Heck, they helped me earn a few bucks, so why shouldn’t they get priority? While this system works, I do sometimes feel bad at my super late response times for many of those trying to get some help.
You can do this all 100% from the comfort of your home or in your case the farm. The WA website is a training center that teaches you Internet marketing and I like to think of it more like a online college. They teach you how to market a variety of products and services online and you can even learn how to create and market your own products and have other people sell them for you. The training walks you through how to do all of this and you are provided with all the necessary tools needed to get up and running including 2 free websites when you join.
Now that I think about it, I never go to a restaurant that has one hundred 5 star reviews and not a single bad review – it’s impossible that every customer is 100% satisfied. My point is that out of 100,000+ members and 10 years in business Wealthy Affiliate only got 3 negative reviews from customers (at least I think they were customers). How much does that tell you about a company?
That being said, I want to give you an idea of what I earn, so you can see what's possible. I don't like to “show off”, but here's income proof. These screenshots prove that yes, I actually make money online. I've been making over $10,000 per month for many years now. You'll have to make your first dollar before you earn ten thousand though, so keep reading below to see how you can get started doing the same type of business I do.
Whenever someone purchases the product you recommended to them through your link you get paid a commission. How much you get paid varies from one company to the next. Some affiliate programs pay anywhere from 4% all the way up to 75%. It just depends on the affiliate program. You would just need to drive targeted traffic to their website and help them make more sales (All of this is covered in the training at WA)
Yes, you can visit other websites that are in your niche to get some ideas and learn more about it. I actually still do that to this day and once I get my ideas together, I write my review on all the information I’ve researched and put it in my own words. This is perfectly fine and a great practice for you to get into when structuring articles for your website. I hope this helps you out and let me know if you have any other questions.
Now that I’ve read your article, it appears that what you’ve written makes since. I’m a truck driver, who’s just trying to make something different of his life. What makes you any different ? How can I be sure that you’ll offer the same support that SFM claims to provide, but for less money ? I’m not being skeptical, cautious at this point because I don’t have much money to waste, but I am looking to make a difference.
Since you’re essentially a freelancer, you get ultimate independence in setting your own goals, redirecting your path when you feel so inclined, choosing the products that interest you, and even determining your own hours. This convenience means you can diversify your portfolio if you like or focus solely on simple and straightforward campaigns. You’ll also be free from company restrictions and regulations as well as ill-performing teams.
If you would like to take a more subtle approach, include a product or service from your company that relates into your blog post. For example, let’s say that you are a wine connoisseur and that is what your blog is based around. In any post that is enticing your readers to open up a good bottle of Merlot or what have you, it would be wise to embed an ad for a quality, easy-to-use wine opener, wine glasses or stoppers that keep the wine fresh.
And what about joining another company's affiliate program? It's all about extra revenue. Think about your customers' needs: What other products or services would interest your site visitors? Join those affiliate programs. Affiliate programs can increase your sales with no upfront cost to you. It just takes a little time to plan your strategy and select the partners that will have the greatest impact on your business.
The modus operandi of WA is ALL about pretending to be a friendly membership training site, with videos, personal support, comments and chats with experienced affiliate marketers. You get a sense of a great, encouraging and welcoming community, in the beginning, just long enough to last you through the trial and to have you sign up to the monthly program.
Promote products that are stepping stones to products you will create in the future. This is a bit more advanced, but is a great way to think ahead. Amy Porterfield suggests thinking about the first thing your followers will need in order to get started with what you provide. For example, I teach people how to blog, so the first thing they need to start a blog is hosting. That’s why I am an affiliate for hosting.
I discovered your review on WA by first searching the web for reviews on Ameriplan. I am looking to obtain my Associates Degree in Applied Science with a 4.0 GPA within a month and I will need to begin to generate some income. I am hoping to not have to leave the farm to generate this income. Farm girls don’t belong in the city. What exactly does a WA team member do? What is their Website for? Providing reviews on products? Selling products? Are we paid through commissions or by a “sponsor” company? I am able to invest almost unlimited time into this right now as my school benefits carry on about another month and I have basically completed my classes (just waiting on instructor generated material).
3. Joining a community – Some programs house an exclusive private community of like-minded people. A community where you can share ideas, collaborate and empower each other on your collective online journey. This alone is worth its weight in gold. Help is always just around the corner and you will be motivated by fellow members to persevere and keep going no matter how you feel!
