A: You should be skeptical when offered something of great value for $0. So what’s the catch when it comes to Wealthy Affiliate? The free membership gives you access to a small part of WA. In order to get more advanced training you’ll have to upgrade to premium membership. That’s the catch. However, I recommend starting with a FREE membership so you could get a feel of this platform and decide if you should upgrade. Free membership is enough to actually start an online business.

This course will teach you how making money online works, how to do keyword research, and walk you through building your first website. There are 10 video lessons in this module. At the end of each lesson, you will be given several tasks to complete. These tasks are important. They're the step-by-step blueprint for building a successful affiliate site.
If you decide to upgrade, you’ll be able to move your freebie domain to a full .com domain name. That domain name will cost $14/year, which is standard pricing for domains. All the content will be moved over to that domain. Hosting is included for free in your WA membership. If you decide to leave WA, you can move all your stuff to a new host whenever you want.
Path #2: To leverage on a business that is already setup, just like MOBE. These programs offer you a license to promote their products when you buy them, and you can potentially earn a lot of money when someone signs up through your affiliate link. To make money with them, you’ll only need to drive high quality traffic to their business, and the business will take care of everything. Problem is, as a beginner, you will not know how to attract the right traffic, and that’s where most people fail (because they don’t have the fundamental knowledge about Internet Marketing). That is why I always recommend to start from Path #1, because you will learn the entire game of Internet Marketing from ground up.
You sign up for FREE and never not once charge you a dime!! Unless you choose to upgrade that is your choice to do so! They never force or hassle money out of your pocket unlike other MLM companies online that try to make you scale up! Now that's SCAMMING ppl to not let them have the opportunity to have hands on access. WA they give you ALL ACCESS!! And people complaint about WA?? Are you kidding me!! I love Wealthy Affiliate and if some of you have issues about them them try to have myself and a million other followers and WA affiliates say anything negative... but that will suck because there is NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT WEALTHY AFFILIATES. And as far as I know Kyle is NEVER rude!! Let's make that VERY CLEAR!!
Individual sellers and companies offering products or services have to deal with their consumers and ensure they are satisfied with what they have purchased. Thanks to the affiliate marketing structure, you’ll never have to be concerned with customer support or customer satisfaction. The entire job of the affiliate marketer is to link the seller with the consumer. The seller deals with any consumer complaints after you receive your commission from the sale.
The modus operandi of WA is ALL about pretending to be a friendly membership training site, with videos, personal support, comments and chats with experienced affiliate marketers. You get a sense of a great, encouraging and welcoming community, in the beginning, just long enough to last you through the trial and to have you sign up to the monthly program.
Don’t get discouraged though because I will be there to help you 100% of the way if you have any questions or need a hand getting started. Feel free to leave me a message anytime and I will get back to you A.S.A.P. I would suggest that you sign up for your free account using the link above and fill out your profile. After that get started on your first training lesson. If you have anymore questions then I will be glad to answer them for you.
2 - This is not just for beginners on the internet. There are a large amount of marketers that joined to learn more and love it. So the coaxing part you mentioned.... not really there. You can stay a free member but you just don't get the info that premium members get. You seemed to be outraged about that. Well how about you give your services away to anyone that does not want to pay and then charge the ones that think it's worth it. How soon before you are called out and you have no business at all. So that complaint is just non-sense.
Some advertisers offer multi-tier programs that distribute commission into a hierarchical referral network of sign-ups and sub-partners. In practical terms, publisher "A" signs up to the program with an advertiser and gets rewarded for the agreed activity conducted by a referred visitor. If publisher "A" attracts publishers "B" and "C" to sign up for the same program using his sign-up code, all future activities performed by publishers "B" and "C" will result in additional commission (at a lower rate) for publisher "A".
You should be able to Register At The Premium Level just fine. On the order screen where it asks you to pick your country, I would try and select another country from the list that is supported and see if you are able to join by doing this. If this still doesn’t help I could send Kyle(The Co-Owner of WA)a PM and inform him of this and see what he can do about it.
Great review Chris, I am a WA member and I love the training they provide.  I think that that the program offers good value for money and I love the community.  If I have a question I know there is someone that can help me in a very short period of time.  JohnHB mentioned there are no upsells within this program and It’s one of the reasons why I chose this training program.  You really covered this review well.

If you want to maintain a steady flow of traffic returning to your site, avoid posting spammy content. Now I know you might be thinking, “I would never do such a thing!” However, what gets labeled as spam goes beyond the usual “make money fast” kind of copywriting. So what else falls under this umbrella? Any content that is irrelevant to your audience, or that your audience isn’t expecting.

Wow, what a thorough, and detailed review of Wealthy Affiliate. You have answered all of my questions, and then some. I now feel as though I have the information I need to make an educated decision. I am amazed at all of the benefits and training that Wealthy Affiliate provides, and 2 free websites to start out with. Anyone that has an interest in this program needs to see this review. Well done, and thanks for sharing. Tom
IF this is correct, I happen to disagree, personally (about Network Marketing being a poor choice) – and hence, I would be reluctant to bring fellow Network Marketers into WA. I am associated with an MLM (a Natural Health & Wellness company), and I see a great many aspects within WA that would “support” building an MLM / Network Marketing biz via their superb Educational Marketing Platform — “as well as” — building a successful AFFILIATE business. In other words, being a ‘combo’ Inter-Network Marketer / Affiliate Marketer.
A browser extension is a plug-in that extends the functionality of a web browser. Some extensions are authored using web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Most modern web browsers have a whole slew of third-party extensions available for download. In recent years, there has been a constant rise in the number of malicious browser extensions flooding the web. Malicious browser extensions will often appear to be legitimate as they seem to originate from vendor websites and come with glowing customer reviews.[27] In the case of affiliate marketing, these malicious extensions are often used to redirect a user’s browser to send fake clicks to websites that are supposedly part of legitimate affiliate marketing programs. Typically, users are completely unaware this is happening other than their browser performance slowing down. Websites end up paying for fake traffic number, and users are unwitting participants in these ad schemes.
How much you get paid would depend on how many sales you made for the month and how much commission the merchant is currently paying. When you get to the point where you start making sales, then you would be paid on a monthly basis. Also, the more traffic you have coming to your site would also play a factor in how much money you would initially make.
You don’t necessarily have to have a huge site or lots of traffic. Consider emailing an affiliate program’s contact person (look for contact info on the site or in affiliate newsletters) if you send a lot of leads their way, rank well in the search engines for a related keyword or have a high conversion rate. Make your email compelling. Read my tips here. You just have to be a good fit and provide excellent value to the merchant. Another good resource for this is here.

It seems like this is the #1 problem people have when getting started online and trust me, I went through this myself. What are some of your interests Siddiq and what are you extremely passionate about? When searching for a niche, it’s important to go with something you are passionate about vs just looking for a profitable niche. If you are just in it to make money and you have no interest in what you are doing then you likely won’t stick with it and you’ll end up failing.
This is a great question and it applies to anything and everything. For example you need hosting for your website and any place where you decide to host can shut down at any down. However, this is very unlikely. The same goes for Wealthy Affiliate, it has been only growing since 2005 and I can’t even imagine why it might shut down. Whenever it comes to websites I always suggest people to make backups so if somethign goes wrong for whatever reason you always have a copy of your site and can easily restore it.
I understand that WA has a built in solution to this — promote WA. That in itself is a business one can passionately dedicate himself to. This seems to be an excellent idea initially. But then we have to contend with the fact that there may be tens of thousands of WA affiliates who are in the same boat and who have nothing more to promote than WA itself. There is already a glut in this niche. That’s the reason why every time we do a search for product reviews, we almost ALWAYS end up with a product review done by a WA affiliate who is reviewing the product as a way to lead the visitor to joining WA as the better alternative to the business or product the visitor is researching on.

The best way to think about affiliate marketing is quality over quantity. There are a lot of small websites that will promote your product, but the key is finding a small number of partners that will deliver conversions. For example, an equity management services firm has over 20,000 affiliates in its system, but only about 25 affiliates generate 85 percent of revenue.

If you can figure out how to develop traffic (visitors) to your website and learn how to convert those visitors into sales then you can make money in any niche. A lot of people get this process wrong and end up not making any money. And one of the biggest reasons is because have not correctly identified the right group of people to focus their efforts on.

I am thinking about joining but I am not sure what I am getting into. I would like to have an online business just what you state but I dont have any products to sell. You help set up a website but what would it include in the website. Will I be able to join for affiliate business programs that i can sell for the other business companies? I know you have tutorials but It sure will be confusing to me and can be frustrating. Will there be a do it for you for this business that i can lead what I want to promote or sell?
The best overall assessment of WA I’ve read yet. I’ve been a member on and off since 2015 and I’m currently on the yearly membership through October. However, I’ve still not made any real money, although I’ve made a bit here and there. I will peruse your site. On the other hand, I will ask you straight up how you go about establishing affiliate partnerships? Part of my problem is I’m not clear about what to market. As a life insurance agent, I’ve tried that to no avail. I’ve also tried marketing WA itself with very minimal results. I’m an affiliate with Amazon, EBay, and Target but I’m doing nothing. To be fair, I have not been as focused on WA and affiliate marketing as I once was. I’m also a teacher and have returned to the classroom. I found myself in bankruptcy as the result of putting all my eggs in one basket, going full-bore with WA, spending all my time and credit there. I remain hopeful I’ll one day finally get it. I’m out of school for the summer and plan to spend at leas the next 2-3 months as close to full time as possible.
When I first stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate in 2007 I had to pay the full price just so I could see what it looks like and what it really is. This program has changed a lot in the past 11 years and you can try it out completely Free. The starter account is $0, no catch, no credit card required – so you could decide if it’s right for you without risking a single dime of your hard earned money.

After being accepted into an affiliate program, marketers receive a unique URL that includes their affiliate ID. They share that unique URL with their subscribers, site visitors, and social networks via text links or ads. When someone clicks on that link, affiliate software records that click and any resulting product sales in the affiliate’s account. When commissions reach a pre-determined threshold, the affiliate is paid.
Wealthy Affiliate is by far one of the best affiliate marketing platforms for anyone to use. I love all of their tools. I love the online community. I also love the potential for growth when it comes to becoming an affiliate marketer for Wealthy Affiliate bc it is based on a monthly recurring payment when you make a sale and bring someone into the site. It is a great way to go, and I recommend it to everyone!
Before you get into the thick of things, you need to select a niche that you are comfortable with. It is best if you have some formal learning in it, but it is perfectly all right to be a newbie to the sector, as long as it is a topic that you like researching on and writing about. To be an affiliate marketer, you need your own platform – a website or a blog where you can post links and advertise your chosen products.

It seems like this is the #1 problem people have when getting started online and trust me, I went through this myself. What are some of your interests Siddiq and what are you extremely passionate about? One observation I would like to make – When I read WA member comments about being discouraged or that WA is a scam/rip-off. Do you know what I found these folks have in common? They haven’t bothered to go through the training courses. They try to hurry from point A to point Z, overnight. They do not have reasonable expectations. They lack the ability to have perseverance. They have more excuses than goals and they want something for little to no work or investment.

My intent isn’t to make this Wealthy Affiliate review yet another digital sales pitch. As I searched for Wealthy Affiliate reviews, I noticed the vast majority of them are very one sided, don’t offer any other options, and are simply biased sales pitches from affiliate marketers trying to make a buck. So, in MY Wealthy Affiliate review, I’m going to do things a bit differently. Here are some of the topics I’d like to cover…
