Hey Matthew, there are many scams out there that promise you the world but have little to nothing to offer you. I’m glad that you have decided to get started with the starter membership at Wealthy Affiliate and I look forward to working with you man on building your own online business. If you need my help or have any questions feel free to leave me a message and I would be glad to help you out.

Upselling is a sales technique where the salesperson encourages a more expensive purchase by a customer by persuading them to get an upgraded version of an item or to purchase add-ons. Remember our food processor example? That food processor could probably be best used with a book of recipes, which also can be purchased at the same company’s website.
Easy to start: The investment required to get into affiliate marketing is not much. Apart from the costs associated with buying a domain and hosting it, there is no other cost involved except for maybe a tool or two (such as benchmarking tools to test product performance, and the like) which would still not put a dent in your wallet. You can write the articles by yourself; if you think writing is not something up your alley, you can outsource the content to freelance writers.
But you’d be surprised at the number of times I’ve visited a blog post or received an email that gives a glowing endorsement of a product or service, but doesn’t include enough links back to the company’s website. Sure, the brand’s name is mentioned throughout the content. Yet, that brand name is not hyperlinked with an affiliate link; instead, I need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page or email in order to find a clickable link.
Once you become a premium member you’ll be able to contact many experienced online marketers who have been making a living from this for many years. (Many of them are making 6 figures a year or more) If you are looking to make $1,000 per month within your first 3-6 months I would recommend that you devote at least 5-6 hours a day to this if you possibly can.
I have recently joined this group of affliates.I was seeing so many promises of riches without any work in the online business areana that I had almost given up.In my research I found the group to have excellent reviews. I had started the free offers before many reviews I read from my own discernmemt of the group. The more reviews I saw,and after communication with one of the owners, kyle,I decided to become a premium member.I am far from educated in the realm of being a business owner, and certainly not familiar with the online atmosphere from my construction manual labor background.I am very thankful to sites like this to confirm my doubts on scam sites and the reinforced belief in the few honest people on the web. Thanks Jack,Your Opinion Is Priceless In This Area For Those Of Us Who Have No Experience.
Thanks for kind words about my website, I really appreciate it. This template is from Wealthy Affiliate and I had another WA member make that logo for me for Free. This goes to show that WA members go out of their way to help each other out. If you are looking to join a community where people actually care about seeing you succeed online and don’t just wanna take your money then you are in the right place.
Watch them. How are other content creators in your niche utilizing advertising? What types of ads do they use? What are they promoting? What do they talk about repeatedly (if you keep seeing the same affiliate product show up again and again, there’s a good chance they’re making good money from it)? If you see a product or service they talk about that jogs your memory and you can ethically promote it too, find affiliate information by the methods described above.

Affiliate marketing allows you to make money online, even if you don’t have a blog, website, or any products of your own. Following a few simple steps can get you up and running within hours and earning your first commissions right away. Affiliate marketing really is one of the fastest and easiest ways to make money online and should be a part of every online business owner's portfolio.
Let’s say you have a promotions page where you’re promoting a product via affiliate links. If you currently get 5,000 visits/month at a 2% conversion rate, you have 100 referrals. To get to 200 referrals, you can either focus on getting 5,000 more visitors, or simply increasing the conversion rate to 4%. Which sounds easier? Instead of spending months on blogging, SEO, and social media marketing to get more traffic, you just have to increase the conversion rate by 2%. This can include landing page optimization, testing your calls-to-action, and having a conversion rate optimization strategy in place. By testing and optimizing your site, you’ll get far better results with much less effort.
Developing and monetizing microsites can also garner a serious amount of sales. These sites are advertised within a partner site or on the sponsored listings of a search engine. They are distinct and separate from the organization’s main site. By offering more focused, relevant content to a specific audience, microsites lead to increased conversions due to their simple and straightforward call to action.
Unfortunately, the starter membership isn’t available in India. This happens to be one of the countries that has a high level of fraud and it’s on the list of countries excluded from the starter membership. You can still join the premium membership and you qualify to receive 59% off your first month meaning you can try out everything WA has to offer without paying full price.
What are some of your interests Scott and what are you passionate about? This is what your website is going to be based on and this needs to be narrowed down to a specific group of people. There are over 2 billion people online every day with this number constantly on the rise. The only thing you need to do is connect with these people and provide them with the information they’re looking for.
Websites and services based on Web 2.0 concepts—blogging and interactive online communities, for example—have impacted the affiliate marketing world as well. These platforms allow improved communication between merchants and affiliates. Web 2.0 platforms have also opened affiliate marketing channels to personal bloggers, writers, and independent website owners. Contextual ads allow publishers with lower levels of web traffic to place affiliate ads on websites.[citation needed]
Mistake #3: Giving your friend’s product a glowing review without actually being familiar with your friend’s product. This happens a lot in the affiliate marketing (and book marketing) world unfortunately. It’s a “scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” type of situation. By all means, give your friend a glowing review, but if you haven’t actually read their book or taken their course or tried their product, don’t talk about it as though you have. Readers deserve honest recommendations! (Here’s an example of me helping to announce the launch of my friend’s book while being clear I hadn’t read it.) Wealthy Affiliate Review - Members Area (Inside Look + FREE Trial)
From the very start until now, my experience with Wealthy Affiliate was and is just wonderful. I'm not so young anymore and I tried a lot of other affiliate platforms but they were just not good and what most bothered me about them was their upsells. Not with Wealthy Affiliate, you get what you paid for. The community is wonderful, when I'm not sure about anything I just have to ask and I will get my answer promptly. The tools that you get to use are superb and you can grow your online business without a hitch. I would recommend Wealthy Affiliate to anyone who wants to better their lives, it's worth it.
I would suggest that you get started by opening up your FREE starter account here so that you can check out everything WA has to offer you and you get the chance to experience for yourself how awesome WA really is without risking any money. If you like it and you would like to continue on in your training I would highly recommend that you upgrade to the premium membership as it has the most value.
My question is – I know I can do the work, I just don’t have an idea at all on what to create or sell online. I have a lot of different interests, and above, when you show the comparison of free vs cost, one can get 2 websites for free and 50 for cost. Does this mean that you would create 2 or possibly 50 different types of businesses? I’m very new to this and want to get started asap.

There are many other online forums and programs that talk about making money online but whenever you ask a simple question many users will reply with: “Dude, this stupid question has been asked many times before – just google it!” – You will not get this kind of reply on WA. Wealthy Affiliate is a learning center so there are no stupid questions, every question is important and people will try to answer it as well as they can. However if you do not feel comfortable asking a question (don’t be shy, just ask!) you could simply look through the resources and questions other people asked – I can almost guarantee you will find your answer within minutes.

Affiliates should try their best to make it easy for their readers to easily navigate to a brand’s site via an affiliate link. The more people click on that link, the better for everyone because 1) the more people you refer to a company, the more commissions you can potentially earn, and 2) those you’re referring will be able to improve their lives in some way thanks to the product you recommend.

By doing this, you will be setting yourself up for failure and it’s not a very good way to start out. If you really are that worried about the payments then you should wait until you are a little more financially stable and are able to invest in your education. You actually can be a starter member forever if you want to and make money, but going this route will take you much longer and your chances of being successful aren’t nearly as good as if you invested in the advanced training courses.

I’m starting out with my WA site and jouny right now. And I’m going to use alot of clickbank products! Was it hard and slow at first to start? You really inspired me to hit this hard! I know it wont be over night. Its it will take a lot of hard work. But I’m ok with that. Just want to get an idea of the speed of your progress was. Not at all going to base mine off yours. I know it will be differant for everyone. Again thank you for the insiration and feed back! Also i’m going to start another site but after I get this one going LoL. Really want to work for myself. Thank again 🙂 Zach
As you can see, WA is good choice for everyone who is seeking to earn money from home, however you must understand that you will have to invest your time and effort in order to make it work. This program will teach you how to BUILD a business – and any business, online or offline requires an investment of time, effort and usually money. The big difference between starting an online business instead of a traditional brick and mortar business is that you do not need a start-up capital to get started online. You do not even need any money to join Wealthy Affiliate, the basic free membership gives you all you need to get started: including 2 free hosted websites, training and all the support you need. What Exactly Do You Get Inside? Wealthy Affiliate only costs $49/month.

As a general best practice, you should always aim to create valuable and engaging content for your visitors – whether it’s a blog post, video, or email. This helps them trust you, and shows that you’re a reliable source for information. When you do that regularly, it becomes a lot easier to start promoting a product or service as part of an affiliate marketing program.

Affiliate marketing is a really great way to monetize your blog–essentially, you are promoting the products you love and you get paid to do it. Say I’m writing a blog post about a new kitchen scale that I’ve really been enjoying (because hello, kitchen scales are the best) and I want to promote it to my readers. I could write a regular ol’ blog post about it, share a regular ol’ link to the scale on Amazon, and leave it at that.
Concerning WA, free membership is not allowed in my country, and as a member of WA for quit a long time now you should be a able to to tell us the reason(S) why some countries are not eligible for free membership, or is there a communication gap between the WA founder and the members? Because that should have been a very good ground for some newbies like me to start with.
…and the list goes on! The main thing to keep in mind is that your first website doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be a home run with your first try. I started three or four failed websites before I really got into the groove and picked a topic that worked for me. My very first websites was about horse care, and it didn't last long. My first successful website was about computer software!

I have no marketing talent whatsoever, but, I am happy to know that I can learn marketing talent and skill from Wealthy Affiliate. I do have a desire to make money online, and according to the reputation of Wealthy Affiliate, it seems like a viable choice to enlist their services. However, I have not the slightest idea of what good or service I could market and I’m skeptical that whatever idea I may have has already been done and is more popular and of more use than whatever good or service I have in mind. In this case I like the philosophy “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” I would add that I do have an interest in video games, making a website to encourage consumers on their purchasing decisions and increase their knowledge about video game software and hardware is an inventive suggestion, but isn’t there already many YouTube channels that do just this? Furthermore, even if I made such a website, I wouldn’t want to make money by scamming or much less spamming people with shameless product placements and advertisement placement populating the majority of such a website.
Once you start going through the training and get some content on your site you will be presented with the opportunity to submit your website to the community and have as many members as you want to provide you with some valuable feedback. Updating the content on your site may seem difficult at first, but you’ll find that this will get easier the more you do it.
That’s nearly 60% off the regular price of $47 monthly. This discount is only valid for your first 7 days so you don’t wanna miss out on this. If you are interested in saving even more money I would highly suggest that you go for the yearly option of $359 for the entire year. This is a savings over over $200. If you can afford it this is definitely the way to go. Personally I would say that it would definitely be a worthwhile investment but this is totally up to you.
Yes, it costs money, but starting any business takes an investment. The key is to invest wisely, be frugal, and make sure you’re investing in the right things. With Wealthy Affiliate Premium you are literally getting absolutely everything you’ll need to start a successful business online. From the training to the web building tools to the website hosting, backup, security, and support – it’s all there in one place at a very reasonable price.
I have just talked to Kyle(Co owner of WA) and he said that India is one of the countries where the starter membership isn’t available. The only other option would be if you could select a different country and try to join that way. If that doesn’t work then you would need to go premium from the start. You can get your first month at a highly discounted rate of only $19 for your first month.
Cost per mille requires only that the publisher make the advertising available on his or her website and display it to the page visitors in order to receive a commission. Pay per click requires one additional step in the conversion process to generate revenue for the publisher: A visitor must not only be made aware of the advertisement but must also click on the advertisement to visit the advertiser's website.
hmm. . . i am kind of new to online business and i got redirected to this post from your WARDCOPYCAT post. i read through and was developing interest until i got to the place where you listed countries not accepted and my country happened to be number on the list. That was heart breaking though. . . But still great job here keep it up. i will just keep searching for the right online job to do that accept my country.

Your success depends on multiple variables James, like how much knowledge or have (or don’t have currently), how much work you put into developing your business, how consistent you are, how long it takes for you to learn the process and how you put the process to work. Some folks can start earning money in as little as a few weeks, some months and others several months. It really just depends on the individual and how motivated and committed they are.
You could of hosted your site that was built and learnd more valuable information If you became a member. You did not like the platform and or the knowledge that, I would say is of great value. Because you knew it already.  Are there flaws in communication maybe. The person led you to the information to try to help you. If it was the wrong information im sure you would of found the right info there.
I’m a student and a complete newbie to this online business. Don’t have the slightest idea how to put together a website or blog or write content, let a alone drive traffic to them to earn money, sounds like a mountain to climb. Nonetheless I am an internet addict(could spend close to 10hrs online daily). Really desire to be a super affiliate marketer and make money online, can WA hold me by the hand and take me through to my destination with my zero experience?
When it comes to updating your blog – I don’t have a definitive answer for you. Some of my blogs see new content once a week. Others see new posts more often. I prefer to concentrate on quality and not quantity. Also I am creating more and more audio and video content for my brands and a lot of this content simply doesn’t make it to my blogs. In my experience it’s the consistency that matters. Pick your publishing schedule and stick to it for a year.
This is totally up to you though and you can upgrade whenever you feel comfortable doing so and at your own pace. The only costs you would have would be this when you first start out. As you advance in your training and you look for other ways to grow your business, you may want to invest in a good keyword tool and a email auto responder. That’s it though!
Now, to put things into perspective, anyone looking for a business online must first check the existing reviews of the members outside the WA community. Never believe any site that promises to earn a thousand dollar overnight. Because there is no get-quick-rich program on the internet. Anybody who tells you so is a liar. You have justified on that aspect too as you said that WA did not promise a quick rich.
3. Joining a community – Some programs house an exclusive private community of like-minded people. A community where you can share ideas, collaborate and empower each other on your collective online journey. This alone is worth its weight in gold. Help is always just around the corner and you will be motivated by fellow members to persevere and keep going no matter how you feel!
What this does mean, though, is that because you will learn whitehat techniques you have to do the work to see the results. This makes it harder to rank any of your websites on Google, but this is a good thing. This just points more to the fact that Wealthy Affiliate is not a scam. What they teach you are real SEO techniques that even professionals use.
Warrior Forum WSO’s – This is the only option on the list I will actually tell you to stay away from. Warrior Forum WSO’s are almost always a rip-off and no amount of them will adequately teach you how to truly build a real online business. This forum community is owned by Freelancer.com and they will allow just about anyone to sell just about anything. The majority of them are very cheap, but once you give them your email address, get ready to be spammed. They also almost always include “upsells” where the initial product may only cost a few bucks, but all the other products they sell you within the first product costs substantially more. I could write all day about why you should never purchase a Warrior Forum WSO, but if you want to learn more, you can read my article about Warrior Forum WSO’s here.
Wealthy Affiliate is built specifically for beginners, which means that it will guide you through selecting a niche and building an online business from scratch. The training is well structured so you won’t feel stuck or overwhelmed. You don’t have to worry a bit about not having a niche or any experience, because the course will guide you through it.
I’m glad that you were able to find my WA review and I would be more than happy to answer these questions for you. Affiliate marketing is one of the most lucrative business models that you’ll find on the internet and one of the best ways to start up a business online. I’m sorry to hear that you were taken advantage of from a late night television program years ago.
First of all the allegations of a pyramid scheme. Since you have looked up the definition you probably know that a pyramid scheme requires downlines and several levels to the pyramid. That’s something you won’t find at WA. Many people join directly through the home page without being referred. Others might join under an affiliate and that affiliate earns a commission. There are no levels. Amazon’s got the exact same business strategy, does that make them a pyramid scheme? Some new members even get upset when they find out that Wealthy Affiliate is not an MLM. These people leave rather fast because they realize they need to actually build a real business instead of just recruiting.
As a WA member, I have shared my website as others have shared theirs with me. There are also excellent course modules that take you step by step on web set. Yes, there are those whose only interest is selling WA membership…. it’s easy and not as time consuming as starting a niche business. Personally, I promote the membership and will continue to do so until my web business launches.

Hi Brady, When you join the $0 Free membership it is totally possible to start making money as a Free member. I have seen it happen. It is just more challenging because you don’t have as much training and tools as a premium member does. The starter membership gives you the opportunity to check out everything that Wealthy Affiliate has to offer. It also gives you your first 7 days of Free premium help and support from thousands of successful members including the owners Kyle and Carson. You don’t need to be premium to start making money, it just makes it a whole lot easier and it speeds up the process.

I would not recommend it to a new affiliate marketer because I would want someone new to have a more robust and focused course. New marketers need to set a good foundation. I would, however, recommend this course to seasoned affiliate marketers. Veteran marketers don't need as much structure and foundation setting. But getting one useful tip from a course is often time well worth the price of admission. Think of this course like a scavenger hunt.
To learn from affiliate marketing, the first rule is to be patient. Without this virtue, it is going to be difficult to stay the path till you start seeing profits, as the learning curve can be quite steep in the initial days. However, make sure you have chosen the right product, built the correct website for such a product, and have a good lead generation strategy, and these things will propel you towards success.

I will also be there to help you out if you get stuck or you don’t understand something. I am looking forward to working with you Andrew and helping you get your website setup and ready to go so that you can market your products online. I hope this has helped answer your question and if you have any further questions please let me know and I will be glad to answer them for you.

It also helps to think outside the box. Pinch of Yum long ago set up a blogging resources page, which talks about which host to go with, what sort of plugins you need to use, which theme to use, etc. Because some of these products are recurring (eg. hosting affiliate programs), this page continues to bring in money over time, long after someone makes the original purchase.
I’m glad that you’re interested in signing up for WA to see if this would be a good fit for you or not. I can assure you that I really will be there to support you 100% of the way. This is not just a sales pitch! I sincerely mean it and I’m constantly checking up on my referrals to see how things are going for them and to clear up any confusion they may have getting started.
It is unfortunate to hear you weren’t able to make money online. Unfortunately I do not what kind of effort you put in and how you approached your own business so I can’t comment on the reasons why. I for a fact made more money online in my very first year than I made working a full time office job here in Canada. As you mentioned, creating a successful online business does take a LOT of work and time as well. If it was easy we’d all be rich. Building a business is a long term process and should be seen as such.
I can testify to the greatness of WA. It really is massive in terms of resources and training. I feel like it’s an all in one training center where you can learn EVERYTHING about affiliate marketing. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a way to make money online to give Wealthy Affiliate a try. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks so much for this review Scott!
Hello Scott, my comment and question is this; If I do not have a regular credit card but only a prepaid credit card, then I will not be able to join your company, correct? Or you will say I must pay for the full year, which obviously I can not do,in order to be an affiliate member, correct? I must say that your company sounds about the best of all I have researched but some folks, like myself, just can’t afford a regular credit card so we are precluded from offers like this. Your comment would be appreciated. Thanks

I don’t recall saying that I sold medical supplies from Amazon, but I do have a website that I sell gaming headsets and other gaming accessories from Amazon which I make money from. It’s actually not as hard as you might think, and I’ll explain how it works in a few easy steps. You just need to pick a hobby or interest of yours and build a website around this hobby. You then need to attract visitors to your website and promote products and services that are related to this hobby.

I already have a website and a domain name. My website is made with WordPress, and GoDaddy hosts the website. Would I have to move my website to another host, that is part of WA? Also I am thinking of keeping the website much the same way it is now(with a few changes). I already have a blog page, can I just add my links there? I have a gardening business, and I want to talk about ergonomic tools, pads, sun hats, shoes, bug spray, garden related art or jewelry, proper use of one’s body while gardening, getting the most from your gardening and achieving health and wellness through gardening. Not just the movement of digging, or hauling mulch, but with every technique I teach.

I was told by Nathaniell, on a pretty good site that I thought was legitimate, that I could enhance my existing site by adding marketing for products related to my already niche field of Kitchen Design, and get paid for it! Silly me! I thought it was somewhat curious that I could go to a company like Design Within Reach, and ask them if I could market for them, and have them pay me. I didn't see how this could work. There was some kind of program partnership that wasn't fully explained. So after much resistance I signed up with a backup email to try it out for 7 days, and see if I could learn as much as I could.  Wealthy Affiliate Scam Review 2018 - Is Wealthy Affiliate Worth It?
